Dr. Fatima Rehan Dar

Dr. Dar has earned her PhD. from the School of Education and Cognitive Science, Asia e University, Malaysia. She also has an MA in Curriculum and Teaching from Teachers College, Columbia University, USA and an MA in English from Government College University, Lahore.

She has served as a Teacher Educator and faculty with various organizations including Ali Institute of Education (Lahore), FAST University, Aga Khan University (Karachi), Beaconhouse National University (Lahore), Virtual University (Lahore), IoBM (Karachi) and SZABIST (Karachi). She has also worked in the capacity of Lead Education Consultant for the development sector that includes organizations like Society for the Advancement of Education (SAHE), ESRA-USAID, Adam-Smith International, Mckinsey, Sindh Capacity Development Project, USAID and DFID. Her passion for teacher development, curriculum and materials development projects can be witnessed all over Pakistan.

Dr. Dar holds the honor of winning the Charles Wallace Trust visiting fellowship for the year 2000, to the Institute of Education, University of London. She has also been a visiting faculty at the Institute of Education, University of London and University of Warwick (UK). Her publications, both national and international, also discuss the current issues and aspects related to the field of English language education and curriculum & teacher development.

Presently, Dr. Dar works as Director, Centre for Teaching Excellence and Learning Innovation at Iqra University (CTELI), Karachi. As Director, CTELI she is responsible for professional development of university faculty, ushering in innovative trends in higher education curriculum, creating academic linkages at national and international academic forums, and looking after English language programs.

For a person with an experience and skill set as herself, Dr. Dar wishes to give back to the society in terms of knowledge dissemination, research projects and provide general backing to the cause of Pink Pakistan.
