Syed Wasim Hashmi

Syed Wasim Uddin Hashmi is a Tax Law Expert by profession and a humanitarian by passion. He is a senior advocate of High Court with 35 years of law practice. Mr. Hashmi is the founder of Hashmi Associates, the leading law firm of the country that specializes in corporate litigation and tax laws. The firm represents numerous prestigious corporate clients, government organizations and semi-governmental organizations. He has also served as the President and General Secretary of Karachi Tax Bar Association.

Mr. Hashmi is also a compassionate humanitarian who devoutly pursues diverse social causes. He is the founding President of Syed Foundation and serves on the boards of several social welfare organizations including Iqra Sweet Home Orphanage, Metro Library & Research Centre and Karachi Executives Lions Club. He is also the executive member of Sindh Hilal-e-Ahmer (Red Cross) and Arts Council of Pakistan.

Mr. Hashmi has a strong interest in sports and he is currently the Senior Vice-President of Sindh Olympic Association and the President of Sindh Judo Association. He has served as Executive Committee Member of Pakistan Olympic Association, Team Manager of Pakistan in SAIF games, and Chairman, Organizing Committee of National Games 2019.
